Answers to the volleyball dig quiz

4i7,

Good job on the digging quiz. Here are the answers to the questions! Some of you were careless!

1) Where should the ball be when you dig it?

Ans: IN FRONT

(Some of you chose on top, you got confused with setting!)

2) What are the cues for digging?

Ans: Arms out, elbows locked, knees bent, pop when ball comes down

(Good job 4i7, all of you have been listening in class!)

3) Where should you face when you want the ball to go right?

Ans: Face right

(Remember, you face the direction in which you want the ball to go! 30 of you got this right! Good job!)

4) Which part of your body should contact the ball when you dig the ball?

Ans: Forearms

(Again, some of you got confused here. The palm return is a modified form of the dig. The real dig as you were taught after, involves the forearm. Those that chose knees, you were to eager! That answer is for the LAST QUESTION!)

5) Where does the power come from when you perform the volleyball dig?

Ans: Legs

(Only 3 got this wrong. Don't be confused. Remember to read the questions carefully, just like you do in your exams!)
