Dear 4i7,
Here are some things that we covered in class.
One of the most important things about volleyball is STAYING LOW. Remember you had to do this in class:/-
- Move quickly or shufle
- Stay low, knees bent in order to touch your friend's ankles and prevent them from touching your ankles
- Stay low and get directly above the ball during the "ball rolling practice and game"
Next, is KEEPING IN THE MIDDLE of the ball. Remember you did this:/-
- Make sure you are right in the middle before the you could "swallow" the ball
- Same for the choochoo train that you played with your partners, you had to be directly in the middle for the ball to go through your arms!
Try to keep this two things in mind as we go along!

Welcome 4I7!
Welcome to your very own Physical Education class blog!
This is where you can check for posts on your PE classes, the games you are learning, or anything to do with sports!
Make sure you check this space after every lesson!
In the meantime, here's a reminder on the different type of games:/-
1)Target Games
- There is a target involved
- For example, archery or darts
2)Net/Barrier Games
- There is a net or barrier involved
- For example, tennis or squash (where the barrier is the wall)
3)Striking/Fielding Games
- There is striking or hitting involved
- A type of hitting equipment is used
- There is fielding or catching the ball being hit
- For example, softball or cricket
4)Invasion Games
- Usually a team game
- One team tries to invade into the other team's territory to score
- For example, soccer, basketball or rugby
Can you remember the games and sports you've seen? Try to categorize them into the four categories above!
